How Often Should You Visit The Dentist?
According to Dr. Devereux, how often you visit the dentist it depends on two factors: how well you clean your own teeth in between visits and genetics.
If you brush and floss twice a day and have good genetics then seeing the dentist once a year for cleaning and check up is likely enough.
If you brush twice a day but aren't perfect with flossing and have average genetics then you should get a cleaning and check up twice a year.
Lastly if your home care isn't so good or if you have a strong tendency toward gum problems then three to four times a year would be smart.
Of course, if you have any pain, infections (including tooth decay), or a fractured teeth, then you need the immediate attention of a dentist!
In any case, we at Ala Moana Dental Care are here for your dental needs, whether it be General Dentistry needs, Cosmetic, Reconstructive or if you have any Orthodontic requirements.
